'I'll never lose him again': A mother and son reunite after 20 years

Two decades after Carol Brobeck gave up her son for adoption, she still believed they would meet again. She never changed her name and she never moved away. She wanted to be right where he could find her. And eventually, he did. This is their story.

Virginia Millington is the recording & archive director at StoryCorps, an independent nonprofit whose mission mission is to preserve and share humanity's stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world. She has previously held positions at the Walker Art Center, the Library of Congress and the Folger Shakespeare Library.
