Thousands of young athletes from across Turtle Island are gathering to compete in the North American Indigenous Games this month. From basketball to canoeing, archery to lacrosse — they're in Toronto to demonstrate their skills and show pride in their cultures.

On this week's show, you'll meet incredible young Indigenous athletes at NAIG and beyond.

Whether it's playing Dene hand games at a community gym in the Northwest Territories, taking to the lacrosse field on Six Nations, or hitting the links in Manitoba — for these youth, sports are much more than a way to win medals.
