One cricket match in Barbados hooked Suzanne Rose Bacchus for life, even though she doesn`t really get the sport.

These days, more than three decades after Suzanne moved to Canada from Barbados, she often puts a match on the TV in her Caribbean restaurant.

"For my costumers who come in, they find it interesting seeing that it's Canada that I often have cricket showing on my TV," said Rose Bacchus, "I don't understand the game that much but I like what's associated with it."

For her, cricket reminds her of the kindness of Bajans.

"I think it taught me...people are always willing, especially Bajans, to share their heart and their life with others."
