How writer Aaron Sorkin composes dialogue like music
Acclaimed screenwriter, Aaron Sorkin, explains how he scripts every sound in his movies, and he tells the story behind how he used to deliver singing telegrams in his college days.
Aaron Sorkin has a huge list of movie, TV and theatre writing credits, including The West Wing, A Few Good Men and The Social Network, which won him an Oscar. He's one of the best known Hollywood screenwriters working today, and that might be because he writes dialogue with a music composer's ear. Sorkin speaks with Tom Power about his new film Molly's Game and how he shapes the rhythm and cadence of the conversations of his onscreen characters.
