From his work on the now-cult favourite Freaks and Geeks, to fighting the "wave of venom" that followed his recent all-female Ghostbusters movie, Paul Feig has been behind some of the best and biggest comedies in recent history.

In today's interview with Tom Power, Feig looks back on his long career and discusses his love of sketch comedy as well as his reaction to actress Melissa McCarthy's infamous Sean Spicer impression on Saturday Night Live.

"She hit the most cathartic comedy moment," he says of McCarthy's Spicer. "Just as the country was feeling powerless, she came out and did that and you could just feel the collective breath of relief."

The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival is on now and tonight, Feig will be a special guest of the festival. For more information on his Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival appearance, head over to their website
