'All roles are self-portraits, in a way': Isabelle Huppert on the craft of acting and her new film Frankie

Isabelle Huppert is passionate about acting. The French star has appeared in more than one hundred films, worked in cinema all over the world with some of the most respected directors in film, and is a huge inspiration to many actors working today. Now, she stars in the new film Frankie by American director Ira Sachs. 

In the film, Huppert plays the title character, Frankie, a famous actor on both sides of the Atlantic. When she discovers that she has a terminal illness, she decides to have one last vacation with the people she loves around her.

Huppert sat down with host Tom Power in the q studio to talk about the craft of acting and her latest film, which screened earlier this year at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Frankie is in theatres this Friday, Nov. 8.
