Tom Cochrane tackles 'unfinished business' with Take it Home

Cancon icon Tom Cochrane performs his first new record since 2006 in Studio Q.

Life is a Highway is an apt theme for the entirety of Tom Cochrane's career. The musician's journey has covered much ground: from the coffee shop songwriter scene of Toronto in the 70s, to early fame with Red Rider in the 80s, to international stardom in the early 90s, to decades of humanitarian work around the world.

Now, after a nine-year hiatus, Cochrane has released a new record called Take it HomeIt's an album that tackles his "unfinished business" and that weaves Cochrane's patented storytelling into feel-good afternoon rock songs and contemplative ballads alike.

He joins guest host Jelena Adzic to discuss the new work, and perform two songs in Studio Q.
