Mommy's Suzanne Clément complicates the woman next door

Xavier Dolan's critically-acclaimed film Mommy won big at last night's Canadian Screen Awards, earning nine trophies including best motion picture. The CSAs are the latest in a series of honours for the film, including a lengthy standing ovation at Cannes and a shared Jury Prize at the prestigious film festival. 

Given all the accolades, it may surprise you to learn that Suzanne Clément, one of the film key characters, initially had lukewarm feelings toward the script. The Quebec star joins guest host Talia Schlanger to discuss her role as a reclusive woman pulled into her neighbour's dramatic life, how she helped reshape her character behind the scenes, and why she says Dolan is a master of creating unlikely families.
