Q media panel: York U controversy, 24 Seven Harper
It's time for the first Q media panel of 2014 -- and there's plenty to discuss!
The last week in media saw small stories blow up, and big stories fail to generate much ink at all. A controversy over a religious accommodation request at York University seemed to everyone talking -- while the ongoing imprisonment of a Canadian journalist did not. And then there was the relatively quiet announcement that Prime Minister Stephen Harper has launched his video series, 24 Seven.
The Q media panel -- Jonathan Kay of the National Post, Judy Rebick of rabble.ca and, this week, Tony Burmanof the Ryerson school of Journalism -- reconvenes for the first time in 2014 to discuss this week in news coverage.
