The Canadian folk hero joins Shad to discuss his reluctance to celebrate the album, the disconnect he felt to his music during touring, and the realization that the audience is his friend.

"I was suddenly presented as this major label artist and I just wasn't comfortable," he tells Shad. 

Hayden performs three songs from the 1995 album he recorded partly in his parent's basement, and lets us in on the strange ways he handles stress.
