Street artist JR says art can change the world — and you can help
French street artist and activist JR brings his worldwide project 'Inside Out' to Toronto this weekend.
French street artist and activist JR keeps his true identity a secret as he puts art in the hands of the masses with his worldwide project Inside Out. Through it, viewers become subjects and even artists by transforming their pictures into paste-able posters.
The mysterious JR brings the project to Toronto this weekend for the all-night Nuit Blanche art festival. Today he swings by studio q to talk about his vision and why he thinks, despite our wired world, we're disconnected from one another.
"The art is not in the photo but in the interaction that happens around it."
