For ten years, Jason Jones visited the world's most dangerous places as a field correspondent for The Daily Show. Now the comedic actor has broken off to begin a new adventure: a cross-country road trip with his TV wife and two impressionable 11 year olds.

The Detour, a family-sitcom-for-adults, is the brainchild of Jones and his real wife Samantha Bee. Today Jones joins guest host Gill Deacon to share why he left the satirical news show to start his own series, and how real parenting compares to playing a parent on TV.

WEB EXTRA | The Detour recently premiered on The Comedy Network. Watch the trailer below.
