In it, she wraps her rubber band voice around intricately looped synths, percussion and bass -- championing the left turn, but softening the edges with brilliant pop melodies and throwback vocal harmonies. The album finds the songwriter at its core opening up about personal indecision, questions of reality versus artifice, and her stern perspectives on contemporary society.
