In today's opening essay, Jian salutes Montreal's Xavier Dolan. The 25-year-old filmmaker recently presented his fifth feature film, Mommy, at the 67th Cannes Film Festival -- and after generating much buzz at the prestigious festival, he was honoured with the Jury Prize.
