Take a trip to Limetown, Tennessee — all you need in your suitcase is a pair of headphones and a sense of intrigue.

The mysterious small town and the sudden disappearance of all its citizens is at the centre of the internet's most talked-about new podcast, Limetown. The series is fictional, but its refreshing approach to the lost art of the radio drama has tricked more than one listener into thinking it's real.

That's thanks to Skip Bronkie and Zack Akers, the filmmakers at the helm of the show. The pair put a cinematic spin on the genre, explaining, "It sounds sort of like a movie for your ears...even in this discipline we still think of it as filmmaking."
