Q

The world's pinkest pink can be yours, unless you're artist Anish Kapoor

Artist Stuart Semple has created the pinkest pink paint ever but refuses to share it with Anish Kapoor, the creator of the Vantablack.

Stuart Semple has created what might be the pinkest pink paint colour ever and he's made it available to everyone — except artist Anish Kapoor.

See, Kapoor is the creator of the Vantablack, a super black paint that is so black that it absorbs nearly all light. But unlike Semple, Kapoor is holding exclusive rights to the colour. It's a move that Semple likens to "kids who wouldn't share their felt pens [...] they just sat there in the corner without any friends."

Semple wants to give Kapoor a taste of his own medicine. People who want to buy his pink paint now must fill out a legal disclaimer confirming they're not Kapoor and have no association to him. The only way he can get this pink? If he shares his black with everyone else.

"Let all the artists have a go at it," he says. "Sharing's nice!"
