'The Plateaus' webseries pokes fun at precious indie bands

Schitt's Creek's Annie Murphy and on-screen nemesis Elisha Cuthbert on their unapologetically Canadian comedy series.

What's a rising indie band to do when its lead singer suddenly croaks?

That's the premise of the new Canadian comedy series, The Plateaus, starring Schitt's Creek's Annie Murphy, Kyle Gatehouse and Matthew Raudsepp.

Murphy and co-star Elisha Cuthbert (who plays Murphy's nemesis in a rival band) join Shad to chat about the unapologetically Canadian comedy, its parade of familiar faces (Fred Penner, Sam Roberts, Jay Baruchel), and why the Canadian music scene is so ripe for satire.

The Plateaus launches today, September 10th.
