James Blake is the singer-songwriter and producer behind all of the big collaborations on your playlist right now.

He's been featured on the Grammy-nominated Black Panther soundtrack, worked with Beyoncé on Lemonade and is now coming off of a recent Grammy win for his work with Kendrick Lamar on King's Dead.

Born in the U.K., Blake started his career making music in his bedroom and posting it to SoundCloud. His songs caught fire and pretty soon he was putting out EPs and full records. His latest album, Assume Form, features artists like Travis Scott and André 3000 from Outkast.

Blake joined Tom Power in the q studio to talk about that album and what it's like to be one of the most sought-after collaborators in popular music today.
