Whitehorse's new album is a 'glitter bomb' with dark underlying themes
Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland talk about their new Whitehorse album, Panther in the Dollhouse.
Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland are the husband-and-wife duo Whitehorse. Their latest album, Panther in the Dollhouse (streaming on CBC Music until July 7), is a departure for the seasoned songwriters and performers because the band teamed up with R&B and hip-hop producers for this album, and the 10 tracks on the record all tell fictional, cinematic stories.
The two talk about this new artistic direction and perform "Boys Like You" and "Nighthawks" from Panther in the Dollhouse.
Whitehorse will play Montreal tonight and various festivals around Canada through July, with select dates in the U.S. also on the schedule for the fall. See the full list of their tour dates here.
