A brand new Heritage Minute is being celebrated for depicting one part of the LGBTQ community's struggle in Canada. Since the early 1990s, Heritage Minutes, produced by Historica Canada, have chronicled important moments in Canadian history in 60-second vignettes. The new Heritage Minute tells the story of John Egan, a pioneer for gay rights in Canada, and it was just released on Wednesday, June 13 in the middle of Pride month.

Today, director Stephen Dunn joins guest host Ali Hassan live from Rome to discuss why he wanted to take this project on.
