Every once in a while, an advertising campaign is so successful, Hollywood decides to turn it into a movie. Uncle Drew is a brand new comedy based on a series of Pepsi commercials starring NBA star Kyrie Irving, a point guard for the Boston Celtics.

When Irving signed on to make Uncle Drew, he brought a bunch of famous friends with him, such as Chris Webber, Lisa Leslie, Reggie Miller and the one-and-only Shaquille O'Neal. But here's the catch, in Uncle Drew, all of these pro basketball players are in their 70s and 80s. The movie has been described as "Blues Brothers" in the pick-up basketball world.

Irving talked to Tom Power about how this project came to be. You can see him in Uncle Drew in theatres on Friday, June 29.
