It had been 15 years since Shania Twain released an album, but she is finally back and feeling "beyond ready" for fans to hear her new music. Now is the followup to 2002's Up! and it marks a lot of changes for Twain. In addition to all the songs being penned by Twain, Now notably excludes the singer's former husband, songwriting partner and producer, Mutt Lange. It's also Twain's return to the studio after nearly losing her voice and being diagnosed with dysphonia and Lyme disease.

Today, Twain speaks to Tom Power about her fear of writing a new album, battling Lyme disease and vocal problems, and how optimism has been the key to her survival.
