Neon Dreams pay musical tribute to their hometown of Halifax

The Halifax band shares their favourite musical memories of their hometown.
(Chris Lauer)

Over the past year, EDM/pop group Neon Dreams have been making waves in the Canadian music scene. They won the Allan Slaight Master Class award at the Junos, their breakout single, "Marching Bands," was recently certified gold, and they beat out artists like PartyNextDoor and Tory Lanez for best new group at the Canadian Radio Music Awards.

They're at the forefront of a new sound coming out of Halifax, N.S., and their musical influences have played a big part of what's made them stand out. The Halifax that Neon Dreams knows has a completely different sound — one that you're probably not expecting.

In today's edition of the q Block Party, all three members of Neon Dreams bring us their favourite musical memories from their hometown.
