In this special edition of Jam or Not a Jam, our panel of guests had to decide if the songs we played for them could fire up a political rally.

For the first time ever, q joined forces with The Current to put on a special election town hall in front of a live studio audience in the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto.

It was called "Two Shows, One Stage, Your Vote" and it was a celebration of democracy, why voting matters and the importance of voting in the upcoming federal election.

One of the highlights from the night was a game called Jam or Not a Jam, but this time it had a twist: our panel of guests had to decide if the tracks we played for them would make good campaign songs. Could this song fire up a political rally? Is it something a party leader could march out to?

Party Lines co-host Elamin Abdelmahmoud, The Current's Laura Lynch and Front Burner's Jayme Poisson joined q's Tom Power to play this special edition of Jam or Not a Jam.

q host Tom Power asks Elamin Abdelmahmoud, Laura Lynch and Jayme Poisson about what makes a good campaign song. (CBC)
