As part of Juno Weekend in Vancouver, we did something special: five emerging songwriters, one incredible house band and 60 very lucky fans all got together for a pop-up concert inside The Warehouse, a storied recording studio where everyone from AC/DC to R.E.M. to Jann Arden have cut albums. We called this q: The Next Generation and brought together musicians Jasmyn Burke (of the band Weaves), Ria Mae, Tamara Lindeman (a.k.a., The Weather Station), Iskwé and country singer Jess Moskaluke. On today's show, hear the songs and stories they shared in this totally unique event.
