Come From Away is one of Broadway's newest hit musicals that got its start right here in Canada. It's based on the true story of how the tiny town of Gander, Newfoundland welcomed nearly 7,000 travellers who were stranded after the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

Over the past year, people from all over have fallen in love with this show, and with a new cast, upcoming North American tour and film adaptation in the works, Come From Away is most definitely here to stay.

Today, husband-and-wife writing team, David Hein and Irene Sankoff, talk to Tom Power about why their musical has resonated far beyond the Rock and why the journey of this play has really only just begun.
