Will the Harvey Weinstein revelations finally prompt the dismantling of rape culture?
Pop culture contributor Anne T. Donahue discusses the latest controversy in Hollywood surrounding movie producer Harvey Weinstein's decades of alleged sexual misconduct with women.
Last week, the New York Times published an investigative story in which several women detailed years of alleged sexual harassment by movie producer, Harvey Weinstein. In a statement, Weinstein acknowledged that he "caused a lot of pain" and said that he is "trying to do better." But, at the same time, his lawyer said parts of the New York Times story were false and announced Weinstein would sue the paper for $50 million. Then, over the weekend, Weinstein was fired by his company, which was cofounded with his brother.
Today, pop culture contributor Anne T. Donahue joins Tom Power to discuss the controversy and the response this story has gotten so far from major players in Hollywood.
