The 'one-man variety show': How Greg Morton charmed celebrity judges on America's Got Talent

Comedian Greg Morton charmed celebrity judges on America's Got Talent this past season and captivated live audiences with his uncanny vocal impressions. The veteran comedian has spent decades performing stand-up comedy across North America but delighted new audiences this year as he made it to the reality competition show's semi-finals. 

Morton joins q host Tom Power live in studio to explore how his TV stint expanded his stand-up set and how a lifelong love of characters and comedy has propelled him into his dream career. He also shares some of his favourite impressions.  

Growing up in Woodstock, Ontario, Morton realized his love of comedy and knack for impressions when he was a child. He says, "my mother said that I used to watch cartoons and mimic them when I was younger."

The comedian describes his current live tour as a mixture of stand-up, voice impressions and song parodies. You can catch him making stops across southern Ontario: he'll be in London on Oct. 8, Guelph on Oct. 9, Oshawa on Oct. 10, and Woodstock on Oct. 17.
