A new retrospective looks at the work of actor Wesley Snipes

Retrospectives are a great way to look back on classic work and recognize how it changed something today. Usually, film retrospectives focus on a specific high-brow director, or a particular theme, but there's a new retrospective in New York that puts an actor in the spotlight: Wesley Snipes.

Snipes doesn't come up that much these days. If you look him up online, chances are you'll come across stories about his tax troubles, which led him to spending more than two years in prison. But, Snipes had an incredible run of hits between the late '80s and '90s. Ashley Clark wants us to remember that.

He's the curator of Major League: Wesley Snipes in Focus, at BAMcinématek in Brooklyn, New York. So, we asked Clark to share the four films he'd recommend for someone to get an appreciation of Snipes.
