Shepard Fairey, artist behind Obama 'Hope' poster, unveils largest mural yet in Vancouver

Shepard Fairey is an American street artist, best known for designing the iconic Hope poster that came to represent Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. He's just unveiled one of his biggest works to date: a 20-storey mural, titled Earth Justice, which is can be found in downtown Vancouver.

Fairey joined q guest host Nana aba Duncan talk about the message behind the mural and the challenges of creating a mammoth-sized work of art.

You can find Fairey's latest mural in Vancouver near the corner of West Georgia and Burrard streets. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of his first major public art project, Obey Giant. There's currently a retrospective of his work at the Burrard Arts Foundation in Vancouver, called Facing the Giant: 3 Decades of Dissent.
