Actor Peter Turner on the real-life romance that inspired Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool

As a young aspiring actor in the late '70s, Peter Turner had no idea his boarding house neighbour was Gloria Grahame, a Hollywood star from the 1950s, until they fell in love. Three decades apart in age and from different ends of the acting spectrum, a new film Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool tells the incredible story of this unlikely romance.

Turner talks to host Tom Power about putting his affair with Grahame on the silver screen and what her story says about how woman were treated under the Hollywood studio system.
