'Music opened the door for me': Thompson Egbo-Egbo on his history with the piano

Toronto pianist and composer Thompson Egbo-Egbo joins Tom Power for a performance and chat about his new album, The Offering.
Canadian jazz pianist Thompson Egbo-Egbo was born in Nigeria and came to Canada at the age of four. He began playing the piano when he was just six years old. Today, he performs across the country, and through his arts foundation, helps Toronto kids to transcend their social and economic circumstances. (Rick Clifford)

Toronto pianist and composer Thompson Egbo-Egbo joins q's Tom Power live in studio for a performance and chat about his new album, The Offering. While he has a long history with the piano, his relationship with the instrument almost didn't happen.

Egbo-Egbo is involved in a new theatre production called 88 Keys, which is playing onstage until Friday, June 21 at the Soulpepper Theatre in Toronto.
