Robert Glasper on his new mixtape and why jazz should always be pushing boundaries

Jazz pianist Robert Glasper has worked with a mind-bogglist list of collaborators, including Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Erykah Badu, Kendrick Lamar and Esperanza Spalding. While Glasper is known as a jazz musician, he brings a lot of different influences into his sound. When you listen to his music, you may hear funk, soul, hip hop and R&B — but there's one constant: Glasper says he always makes music that represents the time we're living in.

He joined q guest host Angeline Tetteh-Wayoe from New York to tell us about his new mixtape, provocatively titled F--- Yo Feelings. It's out now. You can catch Glasper performing at the Blue Note in New York this weekend, where he's completing the final shows of his month-long residency.
