Quirks & Questions: Why isn't cadaver blood donated for transfusions?

We can recover organs from the deceased, so why not blood?

Our question this week comes from Margo Cadegan in Canning, Nova Scotia.

She's curious why blood from the deceased isn't recovered for blood transfusions, given that we can recover organs for donation.
