About Sleepover
Sleepover takes us inside an unusual social encounter, where three complete strangers agree to meet in different places—from a highrise condo to an island yurt—for an evening, night, and morning together.
In each episode, with Sook-Yin's guidance, one stranger takes the spotlight and presents a problem from their life. The other two offer advice and bring up related experiences from their own unique perspectives.

Veronica Simmonds is a deep sleeper and an even deeper listener. When she's not recording Sook-Yin swimming in hotel pools she can be found making experimental radio documentaries. Her work has aired on ABC, BBC and CBC as well as in a weather observatory in France and a former grain silo in Norway. She's particularly curious about the nature of time. Her doc on the subject, Dr. Clock, was a finalist for the Prix Italia in 2015. Her love of the internet has led her to create interactive web experiences such as Body of Waterand her love of hair led her to create her podcast Braidio where she braids hair on air. Michelle Macklem is a light sleeper, but daydreams to the depths of all things radio. In addition to helping handcraft Sleepover, she's featured acclaimed radio documentaries on Third Coast and CBC Radio. She uses vivid sound design to explore the atmospheric and ambient nature of audio. Her sound-rich work "Swimmers" was shortlisted for the Third Coast Short Docs 2016 competition. Michelle has also dabbled in the world of radio fiction and has produced work for ABC and Radiotopia podcasts. When she's not mixing it up in the studio, she can be found out and about recording forests, fields and trails. Twitter: @michmacklem
