Tribute to podcasting pioneer Bob Goyetche

A tribute to one of the first voices of Canadian podcasting, Bob Goyetche.

This week, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the sudden passing of a true leader in social media in Canada.

Bob Goyetche was a podcasting pioneer who helped bring together the independent media community. He was an active podcaster, going back to 2004. He co-organized the grassroots Podcasters Across Borders conference, and an early podcasting network.

All at a time, in the last decade, when it was a true independent movement. I thought about him a lot this week while we were putting the show together. He was a great example of what an individual can do to build community and one of the first voices of Canadian podcasting. Here's a sample of that voice, from his BobStuph podcast:
