Grade 8 students share their hopes and fears as they turn the corner into high school
Thanks to a program called Friendship in Action, founded by educator Geraldine Mabin, students at Toronto's Lord Dufferin Public School have had the chance to think and talk about what comes next.
It's that time of year: teachers and students are exhausted, itching to get into the sun.
In schools across the country, the bell will soon ring for a much-anticipated summer break.
But for kids in Grade 8, it's a time of mixed feelings.
There's lots of excitement, and also trepidation. After all, the giant leap to high school is just around the corner.
