Mail on Michael's essay "Let Them In", and on the poem "Home"

We hear from listeners who both agree and disagree with Michael's essay, and others who were moved by Somali-British poet Warsan Shire's poem "Home".

In Michael's opening remarks last week, he talked about Canada's history of welcoming those Franz Fanon called "the wretched of the earth." Tens of thousands of Irish famine victims found refuge in Canada - as did tens of thousands of Vietnamese and Hungarians fleeing war and unrest. However, we failed Jewish refugees just prior to World War Two, when our policy was "none is too many."
