Is "Newfie" a four-letter word?

Okay, so we know it's not really a four-letter word, but one online entertainment service was blocking out the word in its listings (Think "Stompin' Tom Connors sings 'Moon Man N***fie'") recently. The word in its full form is back, but that hasn't stopped one Newfoundland singer-songwriter from launching a spirited defence of the word, saying no one should mess with it. We'll find out what the arguments are for and against the term.
