OPINION: Maybe the Conservatives were right to mistrust Ottawa

Jen Gerson argues cheering public servants -- and media -- show there may have been some merit to Conservative mistrust of the Canadian establishment.

When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived at the Foreign Affairs building a few days after his swearing in, he was mobbed by cheering public servants. Minister Stéphane Dion received applause and cheers that day too. 

The National Post's Jen Gerson says we should think about what that says about the relationship between the Canadian establishment and Stephen Harper.
