In the burned out rubble of a Quebec retirement home, police search for the grandmothers and the grandfathers who weren't able to get out in time. One thing they likely won't find -- any sign of a sprinkler system.

This morning, people in close-knit community of L'Isle Verte, Quebec are still waiting. Waiting to hear if their loved ones died in that fire that swept through a seniors residence. Waiting to hear what caused the fire. Waiting to hear what if anything might have been done that could have saved more lives.

Authorities say the fire killed 5 people. 30 others are still considered missing.
And many in the town have lost hope that they will be found alive.
