We started this segment with the voices of Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty, the NDP leader Andrea Horwath and Conservative opposition leader, Tim Hudak after the announcement that startled even the insiders in Canada's most populous province.

Dalton McGuinty, the man they call Premier Dad has not been the most forceful of Ontario premiers and he's not especially polarizing. His sudden resignation may be one of the most startling decisions of his tenure. And not much will happen at Queen's Park in the immediate days to come, because he's prorogued the legislature.

Tim Hudak says now is the Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, the leader of the official opposition. He was in Toronto.
