Last September, we aired a special science edition of The Current hosted by astronaut Chris Hadfield. Many of you wrote in with questions for the former commander of the International Space Station.
One particular letter caught our attention. It's from Lilia Yumagulova in Vancouver. She wrote:
Hello Commander Hadfield, for the past year and a half my 5-year-old son goes to bed worried, sometimes in tears. He is worried about the Voyager Interstellar spacecraft, the fact that it is out there all by itself. He wants it to come home to be safe. What do we tell him?
We connected Timur and his mother Lilia, who are visiting Seattle, with Commander Hadfield himself.
