Senator Mike Duffy's testimony reveals Conservative party backroom dealings
Two years ago, Senator Mike Duffy promised scintillating revelations about the handling of his expenses scandal. This week, he's testifying in his defence at his trial for fraud, breach of trust and bribery, and the results have been revealing indeed.
"They have no moral compass. Oh, they talk a great game about integrity but in my experience they demonstrate every day that they do not understand the meaning of the phrase - the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth."- Mike Duffy attacks the Conservative party in an October 2013 speech
October of 2013 seemed to start the never-ending battery of allegations about the inner workings of the Prime Minister's Office under Stephen Harper.
Not long ago, the Mike Duffy case was seen as a challenge to Stephen Harper's moral legitimacy in his bid for re-election. Now, it is pure spectacle with the 'ol Duff dishing the dirt from the witness box this week.
And it's sure been a week for senator Mike Duffy.
