Earlier this week The Current spoke with Dr. Elena Shurshilova about her personal mission to bring mental health care to remote Indigenous northern communities.

After hearing that story, David Willis contacted us about a Sick Kids telehealth program that provides mental health services technologically, omitting the need for a care practitioner to be physically with the patient.

Willis speaks with The Current about how telehealth can drastically reduce barriers to care for many indigenous communities.

  • David Willis, Clinical Manager of the Telelink Mental Health Program at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto
