First ministers meeting sets tone for Paris climate conference
For the first time in almost seven years, the country's First Ministers gathered in Ottawa yesterday. Today we're asking how key premiers on this file will coordinate with their new federal cousins.
For the first time in nearly seven years, Canada's First Ministers gathered yesterday to talk about.... anything at all.
But the main topic of discussion was climate change and how the provinces and federal government can get on the same page, in time for next week's U.N. Climate Change Conference in Paris.
All the premiers will be accompanying Prime Minister Trudeau to Paris.
And yesterday, the Premiers tried very hard to focus on what they could agree on. Almost.
For a sense of just how the provinces do line up with each other, and with the federal government ahead of Paris, we were joined by three guests:
