The impact of the attacks in Paris on security conversations everywhere was instantaneous.

What happened last Friday dominated conversations among world leaders at the G20, and now at the APEC summit in the Philippines.

The attacks have changed the context around two of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's key promises — ending Canada's contribution to the bombing mission against ISIS, and bringing 25,000 Syrian refugees to Canada before the end of the year.

On The House mid-week podcast, senior producer Nick Gamache talks to the host of The House, Chris Hall, from the Philippines where Chris is covering Justin Trudeau's participation in the APEC summit. Then, The House technical producer Paul MacInnis joins us from Paris where he's covering the aftermath of Friday's attacks.

Finally, security expert Wesley Wark joins us to discuss Justin Trudeau's promises to end Canada's contribution to the bombing mission against ISIS and increase the number of trainers on the ground in Iraq.
