A year after an inquest looking into Ashley Smith' s death, the federal government has responded to its recommendations - and the Ontario teen's mother is disappointed with the results. Ashley Smith choked to death in her segregation cell in an Ontario institution, in 2007. The inquest's recommendations focused on the treatment of mentally ill patients, and called for limits to solitary confinement. Correction Services Canada rejected most of the report's recommendations. Ashley's mother, Coralee Smith joins us to talk about her frustration with the government's response.
