This week, The House is in Washington to assess what came out of Justin Trudeau's official visit. Beyond the official ceremony and fancy state dinner at the White House, what was actually accomplished? 

We sit down with to U.S. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz to talk about climate change and pipelines. Then, Canada's International Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland discusses the importance of developing relationships with the President, Senators and members of Congress in order to be able to make progress on key bilateral files.

We also talk to U.S. Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy and former Ambassador to Canada David Wilkins about the importance of the personal relationship between a prime minister and a president.

Finally, our special In House panelists, former Canadian diplomat specialized in Canada-U.S. relations Paul Frazer and Laura Dawson, director of the Canada Institute at the Wilson Centre, share their thoughts about the what the visit might ultimately mean for Canada.
