This week on The House, the final stretch of the campaign has begun.

We begin with a review of the final leaders debate before October 19 with our Radio-Canada parliamentary colleague Manon Globensky.

Then, the emotionally charged issue of the niqab was a hot topic during the debate — and it's showing up in Quebec's National Assembly, where the Quebec Solidaire put forward a motion, unanimously passed, asking federal candidates to turn down the temperature on the niqab. Amir Khadir from Quebec Solidaire is here to discuss why he wants a change of conversation.

As the campaign nears its final two-week sprint to the finish, there's still a lot of politics going on — including negotiations over the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal. Ontario's agriculture minister Jeff Leal was in Atlanta this week advocating for his province's dairy farmers. Will the TPP cost the feds the farm vote?

Former budget watchdog Kevin Page doesn't have much faith that a new government in the post-October 19 world would be any more transparent than the previous one. The former PBO joins us to discuss his new book "Unaccountable: Truth, Lies and Numbers on Parliament Hill."

With all the leaders' debates now behind us, we ask polls analyst Éric Grenier if they've had an impact on the polls. Éric also explains what he will be looking for in the final two weeks of the campaign.

Identity politics and major trade negotiations. Both, in their own ways, could have a major impact of the outcome of the election. Our In House panelists Rosemary Barton and Andrew Coyne weigh in.
